The Chevrolet Silverado line of powertrains consists of three 4.3 petrol engines; 5.3 and 6.2 liters. The last of them belongs to the EcoTec3 series, has a power of 420 hp. and a moment of 460 Nm. He consumes 21 liters of gas in the city and 15 on the highway. With it, the Chevrolet Silverado is able to tow a trailer weighing 12 thousand pounds (about 5400 kg.), Which is the best indicator in the class today.

Chevrolet Silverado also demonstrates good results with other engines, the cooling systems of which have become more efficient in order to prevent overheating under heavy loads.

In all cases, the Chevrolet Silverado is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It constantly transmits engine torque to the rear wheels. The front ones are connected rigidly, and therefore they can only be used temporarily, for example, to overcome difficult areas.

Therefore, the Chevrolet Silverado’s equipment is the richest: collision avoidance systems with automatic assessment of braking performance in real road conditions, trailer stabilization while driving, assistance when starting on a lift, remote opening of the side, rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors and even support for Apple services. The connection is made by the MyLink system. It has voice control and a large eight-inch touch screen that responds even to touch with gloves. With its help, the driver can go online and get information about the weather, nearby gas stations, hotels, or simply contact relatives or friends.

The upgraded cruise control Chevrolet Silverado is capable of shifting to lower and higher speeds, as well as engine braking. A special towing mode of the engine and transmission is also provided.

Chevrolet Silverado options include remote engine start, a navigation system, a warning about a dangerous proximity with another car or obstacle, and the automatic sending of a distress signal to the police in an accident.
